Image size: H.16 x W.16", Frame size: H.22 x W.21.5". Print and frame are both in good condition. Clifton Karhu was born in Duluth, Minnesota in 1927. Framed Woodblock print by Kyoto artist Clifton Karhu. Image of "Ginkakuji" (The Temple of the Silver Pavillion"), a well-known Kyoto landmark. These were done in large numbers, about 800, in the late 1970's and early 1980's. This particular print reads "banji wa tanoshimu beshi," Whatever You Do, Enjoy It, a very Zen-like saying.
