Mashiko-ware kyusu (side-handled teapot), new. A finely crafted artisan ware in the tradition of Mashiko folk pottery. The orange-brown "kaki" glaze is a staple of traditional Mashiko ware that is used infrequently these days. It is made from the locally mined Oya stone.
