Mashiko-ware kyusu (side-handled teapot), new. A finely crafted artisan ware in the tradition of Mashiko folk pottery. The orange-brown "kaki" glaze is a staple of traditional Mashiko ware that is used infrequently these days. It is made from the locally mined Oya stone. Drips of Mashiko-guro (Mashiko black) adorn the shoulders of the pot. Volume is 3 cups/750ml. H.4.5"(11.5cm) x W.7.5"(19cm.)

Mashiko-ware yunomi (tea cup),new. This is a kata (mold) made yunomi, refered to in the local Mashiko dialect as a "mambo" yunomi. It has been a standard production item in Mashiko for many years.
